Wendy (REHOMED)

wendy4wendy2Name: Wendy –  ‘Calling Wendy’

Age: 2 Years

Breed: Greyhound

Wendy has retired from the track and longs for a life of creature comforts and companionship.

She arrived flea-ridden, under-weight and full of worms! Both her infestations were treated in earnest  on arrival!  However on her third day at JFD she was taken to Blenheim vets to be spayed and the nurses were alarmed to see such a heavy infestation of fleas that had not succumbed to being doused in frontline spray. We were advised to try a new oral flea treatment, recently released on the market and although it carries a price tag of £23 per treatment we new her future condition and well-being could not be achieved without it. Within hours Wendy became flea-free and was wormed yet again the following day. A warm soapy bath in epi-soothe completed her on-going treatment and we are delighted with her steady weight-gain and to see her totally relaxing on her duvet, on her back, with all four paws in the air!! She probably cannot remember a time when she could slumber in peace without the constant irritation of her ‘lodgers’!

Wendy longs to love and be loved. And you have never experienced gentle affection, faithfulness and devotion until you’ve owned a greyhound!
