Charity Dog Show
Join us at our April Charity Dog Show on 22nd April 2018 at the Peak Shopping Village. Suitable for dogs and kids big, medium and small.
Charity Dog Show in support of Derbyshire re-homing charity Just For Dogs.
There will be 12 novelty classes including dog with most appealing eyes and waggiest tale.
Your chance to show your pooch off and win rosettes, trophies and prizes. Entries from 11am – show starts around midday.
Christmas Wish Appeal
thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday 17th December at the brand new JFD Rescue Centre.
It was great to show off our new rescue centre here at Brailsford, and to meet so many wonderful people – and potentially new homes for our dogs.

Thank you to everyone who was able to come along to our Fun Dog Show at the JFD Rescue Centre.
As well as the entertaining dog show, with 13 classes, we had great weather and a BBQ with a licensed bar, refreshment tent, trade and charity stalls, agility, bouncy castle, cake stall, book stall, tombola & quality second-hand goods stall.
With activities that entertained everyone it was great to see so many wagging tails and smiling faces!
All proceeds from this event went towards the Just For Dogs new-build rescue centre.
Agility is well under way at JFD
We have been holding agility training at Just For Dogs from the 26th April. No experience necessary and all breeds welcome, all monies raised are being used to help fund our new rescue block so we can rescue more doggies ‘yaaaaay’!
It’s £7 each or £10 for two dogs – this includes refreshments too. Contact us to find out more.

Awesome Agility Sessions at JFD
Awesome Agility Sessions at JFD are about to start. On Wednesday 26th April at 6.30pm, no experience necessary and all breeds welcome, all monies raised will be used to help fund our new rescue block so we can rescue more doggies ‘yaaaaay’!!!
So bring your pooches and let’s have some fun and if you don’t own a doggie no worries we have plenty of rescue doggies who will enjoy putting you through your paces.

Peak Shopping Village Dog Show 2017
The first Dog Show of the season has been announced! On Sunday 23rd April we will be heading to Peak Shopping Village for a family fun day with the dogs. They’ll be trophies, rosettes & prizes for all classes. To find out more info head to the Peak Shopping Village website.
Christmas Wish Appeal & Social Gathering
Christmas is fast approaching and we are holding our usual Christmas wish appeal and social gathering on 11th December, 10am til 1pm.
We will be meeting at Kingsway Public House, Brackensdale Avenue, Mackworth, DE22 4AW and bikes will be leaving in convoy at 11am. Please bring any donations you can offer to the dogs. You will get a chance to meet all of our beautiful dogs. We will also have refreshments, stalls and a raffle. There is plenty going on, you do not want to miss out!

We are committed to every dog that is in our care – even after they have left our rescue centre. Every dog is important to us and its with your help that we can continue to care for, rehabilitate and re-home hundreds of dogs every year.
Unfortunately, it does mean that we don’t always have the time to update our website with dogs that are desperately looking for homes every day. So please could you email us at [email protected] and kindly fill out the form and we will do our best to get back to you.
Please note that we are open every day (including Saturday & Sunday) from 9am-11am and visitors are always welcome within those times and no appointment is necessary.
